55th Annual Bazaar and Quilt Raffle
November 30, 2013 Doors will open at 8:30 A.M.
Coffee will be waiting for the shoppers
The quilt pattern is called labyrinth (a contemplative path)
Size: Queen 90” X 108”
Cotton fabrics for the quilt came from Quilted Threads in Henniker, NH.
The fabrics are all the highest quality color fast cottons and they were all prewashed prior to all cutting of pieces.
The quilt’s top has been machine sewn. The batting is called Warm and Natural Cotton Batting.
It has been hand tied with cotton perle from France by our church members.
The edging on the quilt has been cut on the diagonal, doubled over and hand finished.
The First Congregational Church has been part of the West Brattleboro community since 1769.
The church will be celebrating its 55th Annual Bazaar.
Funds raised from this quilt will be used to assist with the cost of our roof repairs.
The quilt drawing will be on Saturday, Nov. 30
Chances are $2 each or 6 for $10
QUILT RAFFLE TICKETS are printed. The quilt is complete, now we need your help in selling these tickets. Tickets can be found on the table at the rear of the church.
Or if they are gone, please let Anita Bobee or Carol Eddy know and we will see that you get some.
Downstairs will feature a General store with fudge, sweets, pickles and jams, pet gifts as well as gift baskets and many other items. There will be a needlework table with sweaters, gloves, mittens and other hand made items for all ages and sizes. Doll clothes! hand made for 15" baby and 19" dolls, accessories and other related items.
There will be a chowder and sandwich luncheon as well as the usual food sale booth. There is a BIG 15 item raffle, including gift cards, quilts and many hand made items $2.00 each 6 for $10.00 Tickets are available from church members or send checks and tickets to FCC--------- Drawing will be at the close of the sale 1:30pm that day. Other holiday decorations; wreaths, berry bowls, greens, centerpieces and ornaments will be found upstairs in the Fireplace Room.
